# How to Edit an Occurrence Type in Qualiex?

If information has been entered incorrectly or if there is a need to update the data of a type, it is possible to edit the record to quickly and easily correct or adjust the information.

### 1. Access the Module

Click here to learn how to access the **Occurrences** module in Qualiex.

### **2. Editing the Type**

Click the **“Types”** tab, then right‑click the desired type or open the context menu ![](https://qualiex.forlogic.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-02-25%20101233-png-Mar-03-2026-01-55-08-4830-PM.png?width=10&height=19&name=Screenshot%202026-02-25%20101233-png-Mar-03-2026-01-55-08-4830-PM.png) and select **“Edit.”**

 

To perform the edit, you must have the **“Manage types, categories, and cause classifications”** permission, defined under **Configurations > Roles and Permissions**.

When selecting the **“Edit”** option, a window will open allowing you to make changes to the type.

After clicking **“Save”**, the type will be updated and a confirmation message for the edit will appear:
